1. ORGANIZATIONS

International Dyslexia AssociationInternational Dyslexia Association - (formerly The Orton Dyslexia Society) is an international, non-profit, scientific and educational organization dedicated to the study and treatment of dyslexia. The IDA was first established nearly 50 years ago to continue the pioneering work of Dr. Samuel T. Orton, who was one of the first to identify dyslexia and its remediation.

2. DISCUSSION BOARDS

However, be cautious about actually joining the mailing list for any of these discussion boards until you are familiar with them, as you may receive a constant e-mail stream of all the messages that are posted. You can read them quite happily and usually post messages without actually subscribing.
